About

Alessia Galatini is a writer, script consultant and director. She is fluent in both Italian and English and has experience working across the UK, US, Italian and Greek markets.

She is an awardee of BFI’s 2025 Early Development Fund for a queer rom-com project currently in development. Her feature scripts have also been shortlisted for Sona Film’s Gatecrashers Lab, Final Draft’s Big Break and WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Lab.

She has successfully created three shorts that screened at international and BIFA-qualifying festivals. She currently works as a script consultant for global clients including Netflix, as a curator for Shorts on Tap and as a freelance writer, with an interest in feminist, queer and genre stories.

If you must know, her passion for screenwriting was born out of a slightly unhealthy obsession for horror TV shows (read: Supernatural), but she’s also a die-hard fan of rom-coms (she contains multitudes). She loves movies that make you feel like you need a day off to process them. Her favourite creators include Céline Sciamma, Diablo Cody, Luca Guadagnino & Jordan Peele. A movie she will never get tired of is “Professor Marston & The Wonder Women”.
